Trish Murphy is at the heart of our work crafting healthy treats for New Zealand’s animals.
Working alongside Dawn Dunjey, she predominantly spends her time hand-making our bird and small animal treats. Thousands of wild bird seed cones, bird bells, rabbit & guinea pig munchies and timothy hay treats around the country have been carefully crafted by Trish.
Described by the team as a ‘powerhouse’, Trish is the first to roll up her sleeves and get stuck in. This hard working attitude has been instrumental to our continued success particularly as we negotiated the challenges of 2020.
When we wanted to make the move to locally-sourced energy food she was ready to go – working with Dawn and Tena Donohue to ensure supply could continue to meet rising demand. The hard yards are traveled in good humour. “You can always hear her laughing,” says Carolyn, our marketing manager.
With this friendly attitude and diligent work ethic it’s safe to say that after working at Topflite for ten years Trish is a bit of a star around here. She’s famous beyond the office too – she’s in some of our well-known marketing photos and that’s her in the ‘Topflite woolshed sketch’.
