Ducks deserve better than generic poultry pellets or stale bread crusts. That’s why, as duck-devotees, we created Lucky Duck.  A nutritious blend of New Zealand grown ingredients carefully developed to keep ducks in quacking good health.

Ducks are natural foragers, pecking around for a diverse diet of plants, seeds and insect protein. We worked with an avian expert to replicate the nutritional profile of their ideal diet in a handy free-flow blend.

Feed Lucky Duck as a maintenance diet for backyard ducks or scatter on the ground for wild ducks. A wholesome replacement for old crusts – bread is like junk food for ducks and breeds dangerous bacteria in waterways.

  • New Zealand’s original duck-specific feed

FAQs

Is Lucky Duck suitable as a complete diet for my ducks?

Close, but not quite. Because Lucky Duck is a mix of whole grains and seeds, which have naturally occurring variances in their vitamin and mineral profiles, it is not suitable as a complete diet for ducks. To tick all the dietary boxes, we recommend supplementing Lucky Duck with oyster shell grit, fresh greens and food scraps to boost their intake of calcium and other essential vitamins and minerals. Ideally your ducks will also have the freedom to roam and forage for natural protein sources like insects, and soak up the sunshine to keep them in good health.
