These unique pellets contain just one nutritious, delicious and fortifying ingredient: lucerne hay. The locally grown hay is harvested, cured and compressed, creating a clean and easy way to feed rabbits and guinea pigs the fibre they need.

A legume hay, Pressed Lucerne has a high protein content to strengthen small fibrevores when their bodies are working hard. That makes it an energising addition to the diets of young rabbits and guinea pigs, or those that are breeding, lactating or underweight.

Introducing small amounts of Pressed Lucerne Hay is a good way to get more pure plant fibre into their diets. Scatter it into feed offerings to add variety and extra forageable fun. The cold-pressing process creates a pellet hard enough to help with dental wear too.

  • Single ingredient, 100% grown and pressed in New Zealand
  • High protein supplementary feed
  • For growing, underweight & lactating pets
  • Add variety and boosts fibre intake
  • Offer as part of a balanced diet

Ingredients: Only the best New Zealand-grown lucerne hay.

Feeding Guide: 80-90% of any fibrevore's diet should be good quality hay and grass. Pressed Lucerne Hay can form part of that offering, but always offer fresh long-stem hay too.  In addition, feed ¼ - ½ cup of reputable, grain-free rabbit or guinea pig pellets such as Fibre Feast. Keep fresh, clean water available at all times.  For a growing, breeding or underweight rabbit or guinea pig, provide ¼ to 1/2 a cup of Pressed Lucerne Hay twice daily in addition to fresh hay and quality pellets.
