Meet the team: Bert

Name: Bert

Position:  Cockatiel Seed Bell Quality Control Manager

What first attracted you to the work at Topflite?

Mine is a pretty niche profession, and obviously I only want to work for the best.

What’s the best part of the job?

The adoration. I strut my stuff all around the office and I have plenty of fans.

Outside of work what are your interests?

I love to sing and express my many and varied views on everything.

What does your daily work involve?

My day starts with greeting each of my fellow team members, then it’s upstairs to the office and straight into seed quality control. I nap often to stay in peak physical condition but I’m generally alert and ready to mingle at morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. I also have regular meetings with Scott the General Manager of Operations - he values my opinion and I am always on hand to check his keyboard for loose bits. I often work overtime from home, checking seed until it’s time for bed. I’m very dedicated.

Do you have any pets?

Yes, I have 37 pets. They all think they work here. So precious.

Do you have a favourite book or movie?

Call me self centred but I’m really only interested in videos of myself chatting. I find books and magazines quite tasty, but I don’t have a favourite.

Do you have a favourite quote or phrase?

I find it’s not so much about what I’m saying, but how loud I can possibly say it.
